2026 Visual Arts Senior Exhibition Opening Reception
Thursday, April 2 at 4:00pm in William Rolland Art Center

We hope you will join us for the opening of the 2026 Visual Arts Senior Exhibition, featuring the work of 25 graduating students from the Digital Media & Design and Fine Arts programs at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½.

The exhibition spans a wide range of media, from traditional studio practices to contemporary digital work. Additional projects also are presented in the Soiland Humanities Center.

The opening reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m., and in addition to viewing the exhibition and enjoying refreshments at the reception, visitors are invited to participate in the following interactive art activities:

Take part in an instant film portrait
Screen print a split-fountain event poster
Create a postcard-sized watercolor

The exhibition runs through May 15. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Wind Ensemble Concert
Friday, April 10 at 7:30pm in Samuelson Chapel

Join the Cal Lutheran Wind Ensemble, conducted by Michael Hart, for a diverse program of powerful and engaging works showcasing the talents of student musicians.

Expect a dynamic mix of contemporary compositions and timeless classics.

Kingsmen and Regals Quartets Concert: “Decades of Harmonyâ€
Friday, April 17 at 7:00pm in Samuelson Chapel

Experience a musical journey through time performed by the Kingsmen and Regals quartets. This performance will feature a selection of hits spanning several decades — from intimate solos to the rich power of combined ensemble pieces — celebrating the very best of vocal music.

To make the night even more special, members of the Jazz Ensemble will accompany members of the quartets. Additionally, the night will mark the highly anticipated debut of a new student-led a cappella group.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Mainstage Production)

Join the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Theatre and Dance Department for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a timeless Shakespearean comedy brought to life by talented student performers.

Directed by senior theatre major Hadley Julca, this student-directed production combines inventive staging, dynamic performances and a magical journey through love, mischief and the wonders of the forest.

Admission is free, but reservations are strongly encouraged as seating in the Black Box Studio Theatre is limited.

English Major Capstone Presentations (Festival of Scholars)
Monday, April 27 at 6:00pm in Overton Hall

Senior English majors will present selections from their scholarly and creative work developed in English 480, the English Major Capstone Colloquium. 

This session highlights a diverse range of projects — from critical literary analysis to original creative writing — showcasing the intellectual depth and creativity of their final ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ work.

It’s an opportunity to hear how these students engage with literature, language and storytelling, as they share the culmination of their academic journey.

McNair Scholars Program Research Showcase (Festival of Scholars)
Tuesday, April 28 at 1:00pm in Ullman Commons, Room 100

Come support the McNair Scholars as they present their research.

This session will showcase the work of students from a variety of disciplines who are preparing for graduate study through the McNair Scholars Program.

You’ll have the chance to hear about their research journeys, explore diverse topics and engage with the scholars.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their hard work and learn something new!

History Department Research Presentations and Phi Alpha Theta Induction Ceremony (Festival of Scholars)
Tuesday, April 28 at 3:00pm in Ullman Commons, Room 100

History majors will share their research projects through poster presentations during the first hour.

In the second hour, students who qualify will be inducted into the Alpha Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, the oldest honor society in the United States.

Voices of the Valley Choir Invitational

Experience an evening of choral excellence at the inaugural Voices of the Valley Choir Invitational.
